DESCRIPTION:Winter is here! Join us at Westbrook Nature School where we embrace the winter season with our Parent-Child Winter Program for caregivers and children, ages birth to three. Weekly outdoor classes will include songs, crafts, finger plays, hot cocoa and/or tea, s’mores, storytelling around our fire and warming up in our cozy yurt or indoor play area. Enjoy working with your little one to build snow forts, create ice lanterns, tap maple trees, and so much more. Delight in winter trail walks and our freshly baked bread.\nDate: Wednesdays, January 8th – March 5th. (No Class on 2/19 February Break) \nTime: 9:00 am – 11:00 am\nCost: $320 ($40/ Class, 8 Classes)\n\nGroup Leader: Ms. Lauren, with Ms. Brenna assisting\n\nAdditional Payment Information:\nYour $100 deposit is due upon filling out your child’s Procare account to secure your space in class. The remainder of your balance is due Friday, January 3rd. \n\nThe tuition for our Parent-Child Program includes one adult and the first child. We charge an additional $10 per class to cover craft and snack expenses for a participating sibling, age 12-months or older. We understand that other school calendars differ and sometimes an older unregistered sibling may need to tag along. We ask that you email us prior to class to inform us. The same charge applies. We charge no additional cost for children under 12-months.\nA 2.7%+0.30 processing fee will be added on to any debit or credit card payments. A $1 flat fee will be added to any ACH Bank Transfer. If you would prefer, we accept cash or checks made out to ‘Westbrook Nature School’, with no additional processing fee. \nWe ask that payment be made in full by the start of the session. Westbrook Nature School offers payment plans and financial assistance for families experiencing financial hardship. Reach out to us for more information ( info@westbrooknatureschool.org ). We believe it is every child’s birthright to have access to nature education. \n\nWe understand that plans change! However, last minute cancellations make it challenging for us to manage our waitlist. Refunds made by request are available up until 5 business days prior to the start of the program. Beyond that, no refunds will be given unless the spot can be filled from the waitlist. A $25 processing fee will be deducted from all requested refunds. \nPlease note as a small non-profit we cannot pro-rate or offer make-up classes for any missed classes due to illness or travel. \nCommunication + Important Details:\nClass size for Winter is limited to 8 children. This is due to space restraints in our indoor classroom, which we utilize on occasion during Winter season. \n\nDelays and cancellations occur, especially in the Winter season. We ask that all families make sure the cellphone listed on their child’s Procare account is correct. We will communicate any delays, closures or important information through Procare SMS text alerts. We build in extra weeks at the end of the Winter session to allow for cancelled classes due to weather.\nWe love to meet grandparents here at Westbrook! We ask that you notify us ahead of time if you are bringing any additional caregivers to class with you. Please email or call us, as we need to first confirm that we have space to accommodate them. Thank you of being mindful of this.\n\nIf you are unable to attend class due to illness or travel, please send us and email so we can let our teachers know! \nWe want our families to embrace being outside this winter! The key is to wear multiple layers. We will not be cancelling class unless weather conditions are unsafe to drive or be outdoors. Please check our Handbook for tips and be sure to dress both you and your child appropriately.\nWe are so excited to explore the wonders of Winter with you and your little! \n\n\n
