Dear Westbrook Families and Staff,

Look at what we accomplished for the Bethel Community Food Pantry! Thank you so much for contributing to the last donation drive of this school year. Our community never fails to step up!

On behalf of the Sunshine Committee, I would like to thank the entire Westbrook community for the incredible donation efforts we have made this year. We provided much-needed supplies for the local wildlife organization Christine’s Critters, filled a family-in-need's holiday wish list for The Center for Family Justice, and collected non-perishable food items and cleaning and personal hygiene products for the Bethel Community Food Pantry. We also provided monthly sandwich and homemade cookie deliveries for Dorothy Day Hospitality House from September through May.

Our charitable efforts have shown our children the importance of helping those in need in our surrounding communities. A small donation from us can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Thank you again so much for everyone’s collective efforts!

Last Tuesday, we hosted our Third Annual Spring Wo

Last Tuesday, we hosted our Third Annual Spring Work Day! This special day brought our community together to help clean up the grounds after the fall and winter seasons and prepare the property for our Spring May Fair festival, happening this Saturday.

We extend our sincere thanks to all the Kindergarten and Parent-Child families who generously donated their time, working side by side with staff to model shared responsibility and care for our children and the school. Thanks to your efforts, the flowers are blooming brightly, garden beds are weed-free, maiden grass has been cut back to make way for new growth, and our porch is squeaky clean.

We are deeply grateful for this mid-week initiative - a beautiful act of respect and love for our planet, so fittingly done on Earth Day.🌎

Longer days, warm breezes, spring peepers, and golden daffodils invite us to celebrate the joys of spring at Westbrook! Along with the traditional May pole songs and dances, we will offer activities for children and adults. Decorate flower crowns and revel in the beauty of Westbrook’s meadows, gardens, and woods.

A delicious snack of cheese, crackers, cupcakes, and strawberries & cream will be served, reminding us of the sweetness of the season and of the community we serve.
