Dear Westbrook Families - Thank you for your heartfelt participation in the Adopt-A-Family Program through the Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport, CT. Your generosity and kindness have made a meaningful difference for a family in need this holiday season.

We are especially grateful to Kate Beck for coordinating this annual initiative. Her dedication and effort contribute to the success of this impactful program and inspire our community to come together in the spirit of giving. Kate shared that the staff at the Center for Family Justice were so appreciative of Westbrook families and your generous hearts.

It’s not winter yet, even though it looked and felt like it this morning! We made some special treats for our bird friends to hang on our Solstice Tree. Birds teach us about resilience as they adapt to all the changes in weather, and we like to offer them a little treat as we prepare for the longest night of the year. ⭐️

Following Redding Public Schools and due to icy road conditions in Redding, Westbrook will have a TWO-HOUR delay today, Monday, December 16th. Drop-off for the kindergarten will be between 10:15-10:30am. Please drive safely.

🌟 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our Giving Tuesday fundraiser!🌟Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised $1,040, and your donations will help us in the following ways:

-Purchasing wooden knives for our Parent-Child communal snack🍞🧈🍎
-Adding nature books to our Kindergarten library📕📗📘
-Planting tulip and daffodil bulbs to brighten our gardens for the May Fair🌷🪻🌼🌹
-Enhancing Parent-Child toys in our indoor classroom🧸
-Providing a wooden pull sled for our littlest explorers on snowy trails ❄️☃️
-Offering financial aid to families experiencing economic hardship 🍄

Once again this year we are sponsoring a local family through the Center for Family Justice Adopt-a-Family Program. We will be gifting items from the children’s holiday wish list to families impacted by domestic violence.

Westbrook families still have the opportunity to pick an item from our wish tree! We have a few tags left! Gifts should be dropped, unwrapped, in the bin located on the front porch by Friday, December 13th. Please label each gift with the corresponding letter/number combination listed on the tag you choose from the wish tree.
