The Illuminated Forest takes place on the winter solstice. We gather before twilight to begin our celebration of the longest night of the year. We decorate the tree with bird food decorations the children and parents have made, and then light the candles on the tree, singing songs that fill our hearts with hope for the coming light. We then walk in peaceful reflection through our beautiful and mysterious candlelit forest trail. We gather by the campfire for a warm snack and storytelling.
Our 11th Annual Illuminated Forest festival will take place on Friday, December 22nd from 4-6pm. (The rain/snow date is Thursday, December 21st.)
