The Illuminated Forest takes place on the winter solstice. We gather before twilight to begin our celebration of the longest night of the year. We decorate the tree with bird food decorations the children and parents have made, and then light the candles on the tree, singing songs that fill our hearts with hope for the coming light. We then walk in peaceful reflection through our beautiful and mysterious candlelit forest trail. We gather by the campfire for a warm snack and storytelling.
Our 12th Annual Illuminated Forest festival will take place on Thursday, December 19th from 4-5:30pm. (The rain/snow date is Friday, December 20th.) Advance registration is required.
